We planned it for 40, we had 60!! participants at our great "Breakfast networking meeting".
It was such a productive morning, that all business people, entrepreneurs, professionals, and special guests left the place with a big smile and wondering "when will be the next one"?

The program started with a delicious buffet breakfast, and networking. Then our guest speaker Mr. Felix Rocca , a well known and liked Lawyer, who does a lot of work for Hispanics, spoke eloquently about "Estate Planning and the business owner". Following his presentation, every single participant had a chance to clearly introduce themselves, their company and their product or service to the rest of the group, "right from the stage", in order to truly promote themselves and their business.

Plaques were handed out by Rosaria Russo, the Board's Vice-president to some of the "founding members". The Consul of the Dominican Republic was publicly acknowledged and was handed a "$10,000 certificate of donation" of brand new children's clothing, in order to help an orphanage with 350 children in Santo Domingo, operated by nuns.

The Board announced that to date, they have in place six "strategic alliances/convenios", with professional and business organizations, in the City of Toronto, which will make the Board stronger!

Another surprising announcement was the Board's sponsorship of "Miss Latina Canada World " pageant to be launched officially in Ontario, in the month of April for the first time ever. Stefany Singh, the Executive Director of such (internationally) prestigious event, publicly thanked everybody for their support, and encouraged the audience to refer beautiful and "talented" Latin women to her pageant.

Mauricio Ospina , representing " habla " went on stage to promote the " Amigo " conference and exhibition, which will take place on May/15/05 at the YMCA, located at 20 Grosvenor St., downtown Toronto. The Latin American-Canadian Commerce Board is proudly collaborating with this conference and exhibition, and encourages your participation.

In closing, Roberto Hausman, once again emphasized the importance of their motto " UNITED WE ARE STRONGER ", and encouraged the large audience to help each other, to do business with each other and to continue making our Hispanic community more and more vibrant, progressive and NOTICED !
